East Dart Inn

Postbridge

sleeps up to:

The East Dart Inn has been at the heart of Postbridge since 1862, when it first opened as a coaching inn, on the main road across Dartmoor. Today it still welcomes locals, visitors and travellers to Dartmoor, to enjoy all that the National Park has to offer. The Inn is close to the 13th Century clapper bridge, that cross the East Dart River, and the Dartmoor National Park visitor centre, from which many local walks start from, as well as being at the hub of the moors.
The Lych Way walk starts in nearby Bellever Forest. This is a 12 mile long distance bridleway, on which people carried the dead to be buried at Lydford parish church to be buried.
We have a bar serving drinks and food. Everything from cream teas and cake, sandwiches and hot meals are available all day, and Sunday lunch roasts. We serve local drinks including range of Dartmoor brewery ales and even our own pilsner.
There are eight bed and breakfast rooms available within the Inn, as well as a bunk house at the rear. We also serve breakfast to all after 9.30am in the bar.
We have free wireless internet connection for our customers, and are dog friendly throughout, as they as much part of the family to us as everyone else.
The team at the East Dart Inn are looking forward to welcoming you and are always happy to help.
