Dartmoor Brewery

Dartmoor is our birthplace, our home, and the inspiration for our ales. All our beers are brewed in Princetown, at the heart of Dartmoor National Park in the South West of England, making us the highest brewery in England, at 1465ft above sea level. Breathtaking scenery, wide open spaces and crisp fresh air all around, creating a unique backdrop for the brewer’s art, and adding an undefinable depth, quality and character to every Dartmoor Brewery ale.

Top Tip

Based at Princetown, in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, we are perfectly located to enjoy every aspect of cycling. There are over 350km of bridleways and byways and an extensive network of quiet lanes and designated cycle routes, several of which start and finish in Princetown. After a good night’s sleep and a home cooked breakfast, you’ll be ready to venture out and discover the rewards of cycling amongst the unique landscape. We can even provide you with a homemade packed lunch to enjoy on your day out, or let you know where the best pubs are. With 368 square miles of unspoilt and varied terrain, Dartmoor National Park makes for some of the best cycling in the UK.

From challenging climbs and sweeping descents, quiet green lanes to fast open roads, mountain bike trails to rolling hills and cycle paths, Dartmoor is a cyclist’s dream. Whether you’re a serious road rider, enjoy mountain biking, or prefer the comfort of hybrid and e-bikes, there is no shortage of fantastic riding to be had. So spectacular is the cycling here, its no wonder that Dartmoor regularly features in the Tour of Britain tour. The 2021 tour route is due to pass right past our front door!
