Once they’ve collected you from where you are staying, sit back and relax as your guide, Tich Scott, drives you over open moorland and down narrow lanes, passing through hidden hamlets. View farmsteads and fields relatively unaffected by time and learn more about farming throughout the decades, the family names and the folk who have farmed on Dartmoor for centuries. Hear about the cattle and sheep that graze on the moorland, as well as the famous Dartmoor ponies that roam freely over the rugged tors in all weather.

Tich has lived, farmed and worked on Dartmoor all his life and would love to share his wealth of experience of the area with you.

Ever wonder how people find those "off the track" village pubs that provide local food and hospitality? Tich will take you to the best in the area

The around Dartmoor trip includes seeing Hut Circles, medieval field systems, Parish Churches, stone crosses, clapper bridges, Dartmoor Tors and off road tracks. Trip starts when you are collected and head out towards Princetown passing the Warren House Inn the third highest public house in England. On to Postbridge. Two Bridges, past Princetown, Merrivale, Sampford Spiney and on to Burrator Reservoir. Then back to view the famous Dartmoor Prison and heading out to Widecombe in the Moor, Moretonhampstead, Fingle Bridge for a cream tea and then return home.
