Stunning Grade II listed Manor and Country living Cottages set on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside, so peaceful and quite. Ideal for family holidays and get-togethers/special occasions as the two larger properties interconnect sleeping up to 19, whole site 24. The grand reception rooms in the Manor provide a ‘Downton Abbey’ atmosphere where dinner is served on an antique mahogany dining table in-front of a roaring inglenook fireplace.

There’s fun and relaxation for all ages at Stickwick. Enjoy long walks around or fish at the nearby Hennock reservoir, have fun around the estate in the large play area, rustic play barn,toasting shack (outdoor kitchen, barbeque, fire pit) and picnic area or get close to nature by exploring the woodland walk and meeting the Stickwick ducks, hens, goats and donkeys.

THE FARM ESTATE

The farm estate, owned by the Harvey family since the beginning of the 1900’s was built by Robert Hole who later built Parke estate in Bovey Tracey which is now home to the Dartmoor National Park authority. Staying at Stickwick you can be assured of a spectacular countryside holiday and a real Devonian experience.

A REAL DEVONIAN EXPERIENCE

Stickwick is a relaxed environment. The stunning Manor with its sunny aspect has classic Georgian styling with grand reception rooms and seven spacious bedrooms, perfect for large groups of people as it can comfortably accommodate up to twelve. The adjoining character Farmhouse sleeps seven and features a traditional stone inglenook fireplace (can interconnect with the Manor to sleep 19). The Country Cottage (adjoins the Manor) sleeps five and provides real country style accommodation. All three properties at Stickwick can sleep a total of 24 plus cots, across 12 bedrooms with 10 bathrooms (6 ensuite).

Whether you book one property for your family holiday, or all of them for a special celebration or group venue, you will find spacious accommodation and spectacular scenery in a wonderful part of Devon.

ON SITE ACTIVITIES

There are activities for all ages, a large rustic play barn has table tennis, a medium sized pool table and darts for the older children and adults; with ride on toys and a dressing up box for the under 5’s, and a selection of bats, balls, skittles for all. The large outdoor play lawn, provides an excellent space for ball games and consists of slide, swings and sand pit. Everyone enjoys the nearby woodland walk and visits to see the farm animals including chickens, ducks, and rabbits. The three friendly donkeys, Rocky, Max and Duke love to nibble a carrot!

CATERING EXTRAS

Our onsite Farm Larder Room offers a range of both local and homemade produce available for you to pre order inadvance, ready for your arrival, or just pick up anytime and pay at the end of your stay.

They can supply you with their expertly butchered, farm reared rare breed pork, lamb and beef in the form of quality bacon, sausages, burgers, mince and chops all freshly frozen for you.

You will also find local eggs, homemade cakes, crumbles & scones (pre orders made fresh, otherwise frozen), homemade preserves & chutneys, Dartmoor ice cream, Luscombe fruit juices and a wide rande of high quality cook from frozen ready meals (all subject to season/availability).

STICKWICK MANOR: Sleeps up to 12, in 7 bedrooms with 6 bathrooms (4 ensuite); children/pets welcome, can connect with the Farmhouse to sleep a total of 19.
STICKWICK FARMHOUSE: Sleeps up to 7, in 3 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite); children/pets welcome, can connect with the Manor house to sleep a total of 19.
STICKWICK COTTAGE: Sleeps up to 5, in 2 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms, (1 ensuite); children/pets welcome.

​Stickwick, with its Manor house, Farmhouse and Cottage makes an ideal self catering rural holiday location or venue for families or groups.
